Typical tasks
- Crew messaging and personal mobile data during port calls.
- Access to port documents, schedules and local service information.
- Data for technicians and agents moving between supported port locations.
A ship operator regularly calls at ports in Europe and the Mediterranean. It shares the port list, expected days ashore, crew numbers and data requirements. We assess relevant country or regional plans and explain where terrestrial coverage is required.
How we prepare your proposal
We start with where your people or devices will actually connect. For a moving team or fleet, routes, ports, sites and periods of use help us assess suitable plans. Tell us whether the connection is needed in one country or across several destinations.
Next, we compare data volume and validity with the way the connection will be used. Small telemetry reports differ from video calls and large downloads. An estimate per person or device, including peak periods, helps us avoid proposing a package that does not fit.
Before an offer, we confirm available plans, coverage and installation and activation rules. For a larger deployment, a small trial on compatible devices can help validate the intended use. Pricing and project-specific conditions are included in your individual proposal.
What to tell us
Tell us the countries, number of users or devices, monthly data needs and device models. We will confirm available plans, coverage and compatibility before making an offer.
Before you choose a plan
This is not satellite connectivity. Offshore passages and open-sea coverage are not included simply because a plan covers a coastal country. Check each port and device before ordering.
